Omschrijving

Lia, a retired teacher from Georgia, is determined to find her long-lost transgender niece, Tekla. When her twenty-year-old neighbor tells her that Tekla has gone to Turkey, she sets off for Istanbul — bringing the brash young Achi along for the journey. In the vibrant city, they form new connections and discover a world full of possibilities. But how do you find someone who may not want to be found? Their path crosses with Evrim, a lawyer advocating for trans rights, and it seems their search gains new direction. As Lia and Achi navigate the winding streets of Istanbul, Tekla starts to feel closer than ever.
